lady's generous curves created beautiful
shapes in light and shadow...

New Baby Colt

This little guy was born a few days ago at
Saddle Ridge Stable (www.saddleridgestable.com)
which is my son and his wife's horse training
facility. I couldn't resist the impulse to
capture him in pencil.

My Mother

I just completed this portrait of my dear Mom
who passed away yesterday, April 13 at the age
of 79. I will miss her greatly.

The Horse Trainer

Poppies

I had a hard time getting a good image of this one.
The blue in the actual painting is not quite as
harsh, and there is more detail in the flowers than
comes out in the photo. Scanning the work didn't
produce a better outcome, so I'm using the
image I got with my digital camera.
