Woman Strolling

My son Joel sometimes sends me photos of
people and places which he takes as he
travels far and wide. I loved the way this
lady's generous curves created beautiful
shapes in light and shadow...
To find a card similar to this one, please drop by
my Zazzle store at www.zazzle.com/joyartcards.
The inside of the card reads: "Oh, I know! It's YOU!!"
The image is my copy of Mrs. Tittlemouse, after
Beatrix Potter. I used my trusty Oil Pastels!

New Baby Colt

This little guy was born a few days ago at
Saddle Ridge Stable (www.saddleridgestable.com)
which is my son and his wife's horse training
facility. I couldn't resist the impulse to
capture him in pencil.

Poppies

I had a hard time getting a good image of this one.
The blue in the actual painting is not quite as
harsh, and there is more detail in the flowers than
comes out in the photo. Scanning the work didn't
produce a better outcome, so I'm using the
image I got with my digital camera.
