This is a painting I did a few years ago; If you're at all interested in ordering Christmas cards from me (see column on the left) you can request this image on the card instead of the one with the piano and the old sheet music. The cards are the same size and price as those pictured.

I'm sure almost every artist has many of these paint-spattered, no-longer-useful brushes lying around the studio!
This composition didn't lend itself to the small square format, so I used a 5x7 piece of masonite for this one. I painted directly onto the masonite without the use of gesso, laying out the initial drawing with Walnut Hollow Oil Pencils, which work wonderfully on the wood!
This one was done on a Masonite board, coated with a thin layer of Gesso first. I love working on these boards! My larger paintings are slowly beginning to get some attention on Ebay; I think it will definitely be more profitable if I can begin selling these instead of the ACEO's and I like working in this bigger format.
This might be the last one I do on canvas for a while: today my shipment of panel boards came in and I can't wait to begin using them as the surfaces for my daily paintings! I think they'll be much easier for working "wet-in-wet"!
